Esports: The Future Of Gaming

Sport is a familiar term to all of us but Esports is not, as people of our country don't know much about it. But nowadays esports is one of the most popular gaming sites and is gaining  its popularity day by day. Basically, esports is a platform where different types of online games are played and players compete against each other to achieve victory. 

      

In today's modern world where everything is online and technology oriented, now games are also becoming online based. People, mostly the boys, are becoming fond of playing video games and they are competing against each other and also enjoying the game. Thus the field of esports is growing with a large amount of numbers.

If we look back some decades ago, at that time children used to play games like football, cricket, basketball, badminton, table tennis, etc.  Still these games are becoming played and people also enjoy watching these games. But esports is gradually taking the place of it.

Different types of leagues and tournaments are arranged by different organizations occasionally and the prize money of those events are quite handsome. Usually, these video games are played on mobile phones and on computers. So, esports players need a quality device to continue their gameplay smoothly.

Becoming an esports player is not so easy. An esports player in our country has to battle with his/her surroundings because in our country playing games is not bad but making it as a career is a nightmare.

As the world is now changing, people's idea about esports is also changing. Now universities are offering esports as a subject of BSc(hons) degree. For example, University of California, University of Northampton, University of Chichester, University of Waikato, etc. These are some familiar universities that offer this degree plan. In some European countries colleges are also offering esports as a subject.

Some years ago, it was thought that the target audience of esports were children. But now, people of all ages are tending towards playing esports as it only requires a device with a proper internet connection. 

Some popular battle royal games which have created this massive audience and love for esports are FreeFire, BGMI, Call of Duty, Valorant, War of Legends, etc. These games have changed the world of esports. Gaming companies also earned a massive amount of money with these games.

It has already started to take the place of different sports. Thus, the market of this gaming industry is growing at a large scale. So, it is sure that Esports is going to be the future of sports.
